Based on Native Skagit and Snohomish Land-Tschakolecy or Whidbey Island, I am 29 years old and a transplant from Florida. We have resided on this little island since 2015.
I became enamored with labor and birth when I became a young mom myself and developed a passion for learning about all things birth. With my second son, I was educated about Doula work and had many people encourage me to pursue certification. After a couple years of working out the details, I am training to be a Full-Spectrum Doula. I trained in Birth Doula work through DONA International in July 2021. I decided to expand my knowledge and trained in Postpartum Doula work through MaternityWise International in September 2021. Most recently (September 2022), I was awarded a partial scholarship to Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings Full-Spectrum Doula course. I am continuing to learn and grow as a care worker.
