On this popular autumn walk you will learn to identify different species of fungi and explore their beautiful habitat in the Camano Ridge Forest Preserve, on beautiful Camano Island. Our fungi enthusiast and tour leader, Ida Gianopulos, will teach you about fungi's important role in the forest ecosystem, and will help you identify a handful of varieties. Choose between two free guided tours on Sunday, October 9, each lasting two hours. First Tour: 11am - 1pm. Second Tour: 1:30pm - 3:30pm. Space is limited on tours, so please register online in advance at www.wclt.org/events. Walks are limited to twenty people each to enable good communication. Children ages 12+ are welcome. Please, no dogs on this group walk. Make sure to bring suitable clothing for the time of year, a water bottle, and a magnifying glass and pocket field guide or fungi identification book if you have them. Hope to see you there!
