There’s a “murder” mystery afoot in downtown Langley. It’s happened every year for the past 36 years. Plan to put your sleuthing skills to work and join us on February 27 and 28, 2021. If you’re new to Langley’s Mystery Weekend, here’s a brief recap of how to play: Purchase a Langley Mystery Weekend Clue Map with Ballot at the
Visitor Information Center located at 208 Anthes Ave. Langley.
Tickets are $12 for adults 16-64 ($10 if age 65+, military, or youth under 16). Langley Mystery Weekend Clue Maps are available Mystery Weekend. The office opens 9:00 am for Will Call, and 10:00 am for the general public. Begin by reading the news articles about the crime in the once-yearly newspaper, “The Langley Gazette.” Check out the Clue Map. This map shows locations where you can pick up printed clues to help you solve the mystery. All of the clue locations and the scene of the crime are within a mile of downtown. The suspect photos will be on display at a building in town (check with Mystery Headquarters for the location). As you walk around town getting your clues, you will encounter some of the suspects (i.e. characters) described in the Gazette. You never know who might have
valuable information which will help you solve the mystery. But beware! Information pried from these characters may not necessarily be reliable. After all, the real “criminal” is out there and he or she has every reason to lead you in the wrong direction! Finally, when you think you have figured out “whodunit,” enter your solution on the Official Ballot. Bring your completed form to the Langley Visitor Information Center (Mystery Weekend Headquarters) at 208 Anthes Ave before 4:00 Sunday. Correct ballot solutions will be placed in a drawing for Grand Prizes ranging from Weekend Getaways and Merchant Gift Certificates to Mystery Weekend Memorabilia. All the other ‘incorrect ballots’ will be placed in a drawing for other prizes.
