These ladies and their director Eric George have been working hard preparing to kick-off the 2021/2022 season with the Whidbey Playhouse production of "TEA FOR THREE: Lady Bird, Pat, and Betty". Erin Tombaugh, Jill M. Jackson, and Sarah Jayne Gallella take the stage and speak about what life is like inside the White House. It is a gentle, funny, loving insightful visit with three First Ladies ? Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon and Betty Ford. Each is portrayed as her term in the White House is almost finished and she is preparing to introduce her successor to the presidential domicile. It's a perfect, poignant choice, as it presents each woman at a moment filled with reflection, self appraisal, and ? as the case may be ? relief or hope or bitterness. The show will be on stage for three weekends, September 17th - October 3, with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm. All tickets are $18, and can be purchased online at www.whidbeyplayhouse.com or by calling the box office at 360-679-2237. Masks are currently required by all those attending the production, regardless of vaccination status. The theater's current COVID-19 policy is available at this link: https://www.whidbeyplayhouse.com/about-us#COVIDPOLICY? The production will also be available for viewing online, and if you are interested in that option, details for tickets and times will be shared soon.
