Wondering how to get rid of private, unwanted documents? Protect your personal information and destroy your confidential documents at Soroptimist Oak Harbor's SHRED DAY, sponsored by Whidbey Island Bank (A Division of Heritage Bank). Join us on Saturday, October 9, from 10 am to 1 pm (or until the shred truck is full) at Whidbey Island Bank, 450 Bayshore Drive, Oak Harbor (across from WalMart on Hwy 20). All shredding is by donation only, with funds raised going towards Soroptimist programs that provide women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Limit of four grocery bags (or equivalent) per vehicle. WHAT TO BRING TO SHRED DAY: * Tax documents that are at least three years old * Bank statements that are older than one year * Preapproval o?ers for credit cards * Bills * Junk mail * Canceled or voided checks * Anything else containing personal information like your bank account number or social security number
