May's Speaker

A Routine Navigation Training Flight!

On Tuesday, Dr. Kennedy will bring us the story of a December 1943 navigation training flight gone bad. The planes involved were three Lockheed PV-1 Ventura aircraft from VPB -139, a squadron based at NAS Whidbey Island. This flight showed that with WWII era navigation equipment and knowledge, no flight in the Pacific Northwest winter was "routine".

Please join us to hear a skilled story teller bring this true story to life!
