Event Description:

The annual National Night Out (NNO) is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. NNO is a unique crime /  prevention event involving citizens, law enforcement and emergency personnel from the City of Oak Harbor, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations, the Island County Sheriff's Department, NAS Whidbey, and local officials from Island County.

National Night Out is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back!

Last year's National Night Out campaign was a huge success with people participating from all over Island County. We cordially invite you and the community to participate in this year's event.
