Spring is the most magical time of the year at Meerkerk Gardens. It’s the perfect time to take a guided tour of this peaceful woodland garden on Whidbey Island.
Starting April 5, guided tours are every Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. Our early bloomers are a delight even on a cold, wet day. Additional tours will be added to the schedule as our signature rhododendrons – some dating back over 60 years – provide endless waves of color.
On your 40 minute tour, you will be greeted and guided by trained docents who will help you explore the hidden corners of Meerkerk Gardens, discover its unique history, and learn something new about the plants in our collection. Of course, you can also shop at our nursery, enjoy a picnic with a stunning Salish Sea view, and connect with nature.
