Description
Based out of Taiwan, A Moving Sound offers a unique and exciting new development in the progression of both traditional and contemporary Chinese music. A Moving Sound blends music traditions from Taiwan, China, and other Asian countries; the result is unique and often haunting. The group, led by singer Mia Hsieh, offers an entryway into eastern music and and artful expression of the universal human condition. Mia Hsieh has a dreamy, almost hypnotic voice, and her accompanying musicians are every bit as intriguing. A Moving Sound has forged an important new musical dialogue in their ability to reinterpret the musical conditions found in Taiwan/East Asia in a way that is highly artistic and accessible for a wide range of audiences. Founded by Taiwanese singer, Mia Hsieh, and American musician, Scott Prarie, AMS draws on a rich history, offering an accessible glimpse into Taiwanese culture... is a balance between east and west, and the past and the present.
