Celebrate Lunar New Year with Your Family!

Lunar New Year arrives on February 17, welcoming the Year of the Horse—and we’re kicking off the celebration early!

WILASC invites you and your kids to a joyful Lunar New Year Celebration for the Whidbey Island community on February 7, 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, celebrate culture, and create meaningful memories.

Who’s invited?
• Families of Asian descent on Whidbey Island
• Families of all backgrounds who want their children to learn about and experience Lunar New Year traditions

Family-friendly activities include:

• Dragon Dance
• Dumpling Making
• Calligraphy
• Lunar New Year Crafts
• Traditional Games
• Lunar New Year Storytime
• Lucky Draw
• …and more festive fun!

Food vendors will be onsite, and the event is volunteer-led and donation-based. Everyone is welcome!

Please RSVP so we can prepare enough treats and craft supplies for all the little (and big!) hands joining us.
