Creative Art Making

Description

Welcome to a unique art adventure led by teacher Rachel Joseph at Pacific Rim Institute (PRI)! Children ages 5-10 will spend the morning exploring a variety of craft techniques and creating unique projects to take home and enjoy. We’ll provide a wide range of materials, including colorful paper, yarn, clay, paint, fabric, leather scraps, and other natural and upcycled supplies. A peg loom will be available for those interested in learning to weave. Campers will choose their own projects, with guidance and support provided throughout the creative process. The morning camp will be held in the building near the Prairie of Pacific Rim Institute. Weather permitting, we'll spend plenty of time outside making art, taking breaks, and enjoying the view of blooming flowers in the prairie in summer: lupine, showy daisies, Oregon sunshine, yarrow, etc.
