Description
Come enjoy the 37th Annual Kids' Fishing Derby, hosted by The Buccaneers of the Oak Harbor Yacht Club. After a day of fishing, join the Buccaneers for a free hot dog picnic for the entire family at the Yacht Club. Prizes for our top fisher-kids and grab bags for every child.
Registration is 10:30am-Noon at the entrance of the Oak Harbor Marina.
Fishing Derby is Noon-1:30pm at Oak Harbor Marina "F" Dock.
Derby Rules: Derby is free and open to kids 12 and under. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult and wear a life jacket. Kids must bring their own fishing pole, tackle (single hooks only), line, and life jackets. Only bait provided by the Buccaneers may be used. A complete set of rules will be provided at registration.
Special Note to Adults: Adults may not fish for the kids. You may provide encouragement and hints, but please let the kids experience the joy of catching their own fish.
