2025-2045 Comprehensive Plan Update - Draft EIS Open House

The City of Oak Harbor has released the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Oak Harbor 2045 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update.

The DEIS evaluates potential environmental impacts associated with the Comprehensive Plan update and the alternatives being considered. The release of the DEIS is an important step in the Comprehensive Plan update process, that provides environmental information and public and agency input to help inform the development of a preferred alternative and the City's consideration and eventual adoption of the Comprehensive Plan.

The City invites agencies, organizations, community members, and other interested parties to review the DEIS and provide comments.

Public Comment Period: September 28 through October 29, 2026

The City will hold a public open house on October 21 at The Center in Oak Harbor. The open house will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Comprehensive Plan update and DEIS, review informational exhibits, ask questions, and provide feedback.
